Our Busy Week
It has been a busy week for us. Jax is sure the big boy lately and now that he is trying and almost has climbed out of the crib it was time for us to bring out his big boy bed so we have moved me out of his room, (I know!! I have been in the same room with him since birth! I know!) and we cleaned carpets, set up his big boy bed, and now he officially has his own room. It's been hard for me to sleep as I am worried he will fall out of his bed but he doesn't have that far to go and he has a bed rail. You know how Mom's are. I pretended that I was asleep and he got out of his bed and went into the play room and started to play kitchen and then I heard the fridge door open....SO... I am in search of a new gate that he CAN'T undo!
Here are pictures of Jax sliding down his mattress. He loves to prop up that baby mattress on my mattress and slide down it. HEART ATTACK! I never let him do it as I am a spoil sport but I did let him this time as I was right there watching him. Jax is very into climbing on EVERTHING. Very much a boy!
And thank goodness for carpet cleaners. You have to have a carpet cleaner with kids. It's a must!
Our Corn
Here is a picture of our corn from our back door. We had a lot of corn this year although the corn really suffered in the high hot temperatures. We had lots of good worms in the corn which Jax loves to sqoosh between his fingers and say "bug". We have a beautiful back yard and we love our garden. We have cucumbers and tomatoes in abundance right now and we just finished eating blueberries and cheeries. I didn't eat too many cheeries as they had too many worms and lots of bird holes. Our birds are well fed. Jax has had great fun running through the corn stalks and playing in the dirt. Perfect for a boy! Our butternut squash, yellow squash and zuchinni are starting to really come in.
