Here is the Such

I wish I could get the pictures and stuff in order but I have to really think about it and how I want to lay it out and I usually post everything at work so I just post stuff faster then if I were at home.

* My new FAV movie..... DAN IN REAL LIFE! Have you seen it? Did you love it? I wasn't really wanting to watch the movie. Maybe because I LOVE the Office and I couldn't see, I forgot his name, playing a serious role, but I loved it and have watched it several times now. I especially love how the whole family gets together and the piano part is my favorite scene.

*Favorite Joke ... Very PG...
> Little Red Riding Hood is skipping thru the forest road when she sees the
> big bad wolf crouched down behind a log.
> 'My, what big eyes you have, Mr. Wolf.'
> The wolf jumps up and runs away.
> Further down the road Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again
> and this time he is crouched behind a bush.
> 'My what big ears you have, Mr. Wolf.'
> Again the wolf jumps up and runs away.
> About 1/4 mile down the road Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again
> and this time he is crouched down behind a rock.
> 'My what big teeth you have Mr. Wolf.'
> With that the wolf jumps up and screams, 'Will you knock it off,
> I'm trying to poop!'

I am not the prim and proper Mom and just love little naughty jokes like these. Jax and I just giggle and giggle. It's fun to have a boy.

<strong>**Favorite Game: FART TAG

Jax loves to play "Tag, your it". Well, the other day he ripped this big fart, ran up to me and said "Tag, your it" and well, I couldn't resist and I had to do what any good mother would do! I let one rip, and Jax's eyes got huge and well,"Gentleman, let the games begin". We played that game for a while. I just love having a boy! I love Jax's belly laugh and he gets laughing so hard he hunches over like my Mom used to do when she laughed and I love to see him do that.

**Thank goodness American Idol is over!

Planting flowers and such

Last weekend was a fun weekend. Jax and I and our next door neighbor Mrs. Kathy LOVE to plant anything and get our hands in the dirt. Kathy has a wonderful backyard and Jax and I were so excited when she invited Jax to help her plant all these flowers that needed to be potted and replanted, etc.. Jax was in his glory and he has become quite the gardner.

I truly have a son who loves me! Jax surprised me with a pot of gorgeous pink flowers. They are so beautiful and as always I got vaklimpt but not too much as it embarrasses Jax now and I don't want him to stop doing sweet things for me. Jax is always thinking of me and every day I get some sort of flower or something picked up for me whether it be a beautiful stick or a dead bug or whatever. It's all for me! How lucky can I get?

Saturday after all the planting Kathy lit up the grill and we put potatoes and corn on the grill and then chicken. It was very good and then out of no where the clouds darkened and boy did we get a glorious storm. The thunder was loud and booming and Jax and I had a great time counting between the lightning strikes and the thunder. It was a great day.

Mrs Ruby!

Mrs Ruby
Big and Large
wide with love
full of hugs and laughter
broke the front seat of our fire red Datsun
"Lord! Have mercy!" she said

Big moo moo dresses with wet hand stains on the front
busy making dinner or hanging laundry
waving to Mr. Flowers as he picked up the garbage on Tuesday
"Lawd no!" "I aint going swimming!" "Never have never will!" "No sir!"

Sweat always running down her brow
smell of geri curl in her hair
big sloppy purse wobbling back and forth when she walked up the front yard

"Go pick me some Chinese honey's"
she and I would sneak behind the barn and
eat and eat and eat 'em until we couldn't stop
then back to work.

Mrs.Ruby big and large
Full of love, love, love
I was her favorite or so she told me
but she told every one of us that but we didn't know,
didn't care.
Big hugs with rolls of fat scrunched in your face
First time I ever experienced colored love
no difference other then her skins softer

"I am not black, I am colored" she'd say
I never understood the difference
at that age?
but it was important to her and so began my
interest in "colored folk", "black people"
how sad to learn
the truth of her past life, future life, etc..

Oh Mrs. Ruby, big and large
would love to be back when you were in charge
taught me that all colors loved, big and small
oh! the wonder of it all~

"Excuse me Mrs. Carolyn", "I am sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you needed any help around the house". "I am low on monines and I figured with 5 kids and all you would need some help".

That's the first time I saw Mrs. Ruby up close and personal. Mom was always so nice to her and she took Mrs. Ruby's phone number and said he would talk to my Dad and then get back to her. I was so excited!!! More then any one could know! Wow, to have Mrs. Ruby come help my mom out with house work and to tend to us kids. To actually have a colored person in our house at times. It was a big thing for me. I remember Mom talking to my Dad and I just knew he would say no! but I hoped with all my heart he would say yes. I went to bed that night praying that Mrs. Ruby could start. And low and behold Dad said yes and Mrs. Ruby started. I have great memories of her and I truly love and loved her. I have a great picture of her and will get it scanned over so I can post it.
