Tuesday night Tiffany and I went to see Mamma Mia at a sneak preview and it was awesome! We sang and laughed and cried and I wanted to get up and dance especially in the "Dancing Queen" scene with Meryl Streep. Meryl Streep is one of my most favorite woman and I love her! I love her voice, her acting, how smart she is and how BEAUTIFUL she is with out even trying and she is so humble about her life.
I loved the movie so much I went last night to see it again and it was even better! Though it made me so happy I was a bit sad as this week while pushing paper work I thought how sad it was/is that I didn't pursue my music career more and how I didn't have the confidence to do so. I have always thought I should be on Broadway! But Alas! I am not so Jax and I sing and sing all the time and I go dancing and blast the stereo and pretend I am Bette Midler, Joan Jett, Glenn Close and if I am feeling really wild I pretend I am Heart singing "Barracuda". Thank goodness for imaginations.
It was a good week. A long week but I survived the first week of Jax's going to school and the bus drama I put myself thru. He is loving life. Very happy. Tired and sweet.
My bird is asleep. I would love to go dancing and get intoxicated by the rythm of music tonight. I just love loud music and fun friends to be silly with but alas I shall stay home and watch Phantom of the Opera.

Update & Jax's First Day of School
Jax started school on Monday. I took him to school in the morning and he rode the bus home. I was a wreck all day but he made it home and while he was getting off the bus the first thing he said to Grandma and I was that "he loved the bus" and then he gave us a hug :). Not only did he love the bus but he loved school and he has a girlfriend. He can't remember her name but she is a little black girl, with brown eyes and pigtails with duck barretts. He loves her and has prayed for her every night. Mrs. Sylva is Jax's bus driver and according to her Jax and his new girlfriend hold hands and hug before he gets dropped off. Mrs. Sylva looked at me and said " Girl, you better watch out! and she looked right at Jax. Grandma and I and Sylva had a big laugh. So, lots of things happening this week.
Jax comes home hungry and tired and ready for bed at 7:30. I am so happy he is having such a good time with school and the bus. I was way worried about the bus.
**My old landlord, Bob, who I am still great friends with, turned 105 July 7 and he always has a big birthday bash. It was a little sad as some of his good friends had died thru out the year and weren't there to party. He gets a little depressed as he never knows if this will be his last birthday or not. Bob's girlfriend, Nita, also turned 90 in July so they combined the party and it was quite a feast. Bob had his steak, three glasses of wine and then went to bed at 6:30. He is so dang cute!

Latests update on Graham
Hey guys,
I talked to Jeremy a couple hours ago and he filled me in on Grahams current status. They sewed his chest back up a few hours ago, but his vital signs didn't remain at levels they were comfortable with, so they opened his chest back up. They plan to give his lungs a couple more days to expel the fluids and heal before they try again.

Latest update on Sweet Baby Graham..got this today, July 15th, 2008
Hello,
Well Graham is doing well. Yesterday was a big day. He was taken of the oscillating ventilator and placed on a more traditional ventilator, a definite step in the right direction. Most of the doctors involved in his case were present incase he didn’t tolerate the change and required resuscitation. He transitioned like a champ and has even been weaned on his new ventilator.
He has been taken off his paralytic medication and is now moving a bit and opening his eyes. It’s a refreshing change.
He came off one of his medications used to keep his blood pressures up yesterday (dopamine), and another similar medication is very close to being taken away (epinephrine).
The doctors have warned us that these cases always have at least one serious complication during the recovery period. So far Graham has shown nothing but gradual improvement and we pray he continues this trend.
Today the surgeon is coming by for a dressing change and to wash out his chest cavity. He has been peeing off a lot of fluid in the last 24 hours which has helped with his swelling. He could have his chest closed today if the surgeon thinks it’s possible.
Graham has a long way to go yet, but these small steps in the right direction lift our spirits tremendously. Thanks again for all of your love and support.
