Boycotting the game CANDYLAND!

I grew up babysitting kids and did it for years even out of high school. Well, I remember the exact moment sitting at a table with 4 kids and swearing to my self THAT I WILL NEVER PLAY CANDYLAND AGAIN! And here I sit, once again, playing CANDYLAND! I hate the game! I despise the game! Choke, Puke! Cough! But Jax LOVES the game and being the great Mom I am I sit through game after game after game. But I did a bad Mom thing last night. I was tired and after going on the 4th game Jax said he had to go to the bathroom. The devil sat right on my shoulder while I made it so the cards would win in his favor and it was the fastest game we every played. Boy! Was Jax excited with his great luck? I actually felt really bad. Jax has other games like Memory and computer games he likes to play but he is obsessed with this game. PLEASE HELP ME! Any suggestions for other games are greatly appreciated!!
So, Answer the poll, be honest!! Have you ever rigged a game so it would be over faster?

GoodNight Mr. Tom

This past weekend I watched the movie Goodnight, Mr. Tom. It was a wonderful, loving, and yet heart breaking at times, story of a little boy who was shipped away from his mother because of the war and Mr. Tom has to take care of him. It was a good movie about Love and how Love is all you need to heal a broken heart. It's awesome. It was either PG or PG13. I wouldn't let small kids watch it as the kids mother is very abusive to the little boy but she has two short scenes in the movie. Just enough for you to get the jest of what this boy has been thru. I loved the movie. If you rent it, let me know what you thought.

I love English films and thought I would share this with Natalie and ya'll. Happy Watching!

This is exactly what Jax looked like the first time I saw him. That is why I call him my bird~

The first time I ever saw Jax he looked just like this little bird did. I kid you not. Only Jax had a tuft of hair sticking up thanks to the nurses. He had bright blue big eyes that were blinking from the bright lights and his mouth looked just like this birds. So cute! And of course he said "Are you my Mother?" Have you ever read that book? I can't get thru it with out crying! I know! I know! I ain't right!

Letting Go and busy rest of the year~

Jax was up early
brusing his teeth,
combing his hair for Ms. Alandra,
his girlfriend and team member as he calls her.
So big and excited to get on the bus.
Jax barely gave me a kiss while he hopped on the first bus step
then turned around and said "Mom, I love you".
I watched him sit in the front seat, make a funny face out the bus window,
and once the bus was out of my site I burst out in tears.
Grandma started to laugh at me and she said.
"You gotta let go"
The good thing is that I don't have to totally let go but I am trying to kinda let go. I still want to help in every way and be there and am trying not to be "so there".

***I was looking at the calendar and putting in stuff like PTA meeting, Meet the Teacher, etc..etc.. and then flipped to the end of August and it said "collect christmas wrapping paper money" and I was like, WOW! it's almost time for the holidays. September will fly by with lots of activities and then getting ready for pumpkin picking and the Yam and Ham festival (yee haw), then Halloween and then on to the fun holidays! Wow! Where has this year gone? Amazing to me.

I have started to do a bit of Christmas shopping as the babe is due Dec. 16th unless she comes three weeks early like Jax. Then I will have a Turkey baby. I will be in no mood to be out and about shopping. Jax wants the same thing as last year as we have started a list so it will be easy.

Three people from work have given me a total of 10 boxes full of baby clothes and I have a swing, car seat, bottles, etc.. that is on the way. It's all so weird to think I am having another child. It hasn't hit me yet. I guess it will hit reality when she is looking right at me! Oh and I am getting my tubes tied so some of you can have a sigh of relief. Ready. Let's S.I.G.H. Remember, humor is the laughter that keeps one sane! :)

I am really enjoying life right now. I LOVE!! to make Jax's lunch. I love to see what pictures and activities he has done during the day. Jax is busy with writing his name more clearly. Like me he is left handed but I was made to write with my right hand because Mrs Tyson slapped my hand with a ruler every time I used my left hand. So, I have let Jax decide what hand he wants to use. So far, he uses both hands for different things. Just like me. So, his left hand seems to be the best for him in writing but will cut back and forth between his hands with scissors and only use the mouse with his right hand. Crazy but it's how it is. His teacher just lets him go with the flow and i love her for that. Let him be him. That is who he is. Oh and M&M's are a great bribe to get one's homework done. Hmmm... let's see... a 5 minute time out or M&M's?

HOORAY! HOORAY! IT'S A GREAT NEWS DAY!

Hey Guys,

I just spoke with Dad, who just spoke with Jeremy.

Graham is doing very well. They have removed two of his drain tubes, removed his catheter, reduced his pain meds, and he is eating mothers milk. They are planning to take him off the ventilator in the next day or two.

If all goes well, the time horizon is 7 to 10 days for him to come home!

Love you guys,

Preston

HAPPINESS IS A ........Pedegg

I Love, and I mean Love my feet touched with, played with and rubbed. I love, love, love pedicures! I could have them every day and just about every hour. And when I make it rich I am gonna have my own pedicurest to be on call when ever I want one.

Rosie always talks about how she loves the Pedegg so I ordered one and I think I have almost died and gone to heaven. It's awesome. It's not as great as some one else doing it because you have to do the work and I like to be spoiled and sit there and be waited on but your feet PURR as you use it and it works sooo gooodd!!! You gotta try it!

Now if I can find a great back scratcher and a great hand rubber. I love my back scratched and my hands rubbed.

Let me know if you try it out and what you think about it.

Kels~
