Jax was up early
brusing his teeth,
combing his hair for Ms. Alandra,
his girlfriend and team member as he calls her.
So big and excited to get on the bus.
Jax barely gave me a kiss while he hopped on the first bus step
then turned around and said "Mom, I love you".
I watched him sit in the front seat, make a funny face out the bus window,
and once the bus was out of my site I burst out in tears.
Grandma started to laugh at me and she said.
"You gotta let go"
The good thing is that I don't have to totally let go but I am trying to kinda let go. I still want to help in every way and be there and am trying not to be "so there".
***I was looking at the calendar and putting in stuff like PTA meeting, Meet the Teacher, etc..etc.. and then flipped to the end of August and it said "collect christmas wrapping paper money" and I was like, WOW! it's almost time for the holidays. September will fly by with lots of activities and then getting ready for pumpkin picking and the Yam and Ham festival (yee haw), then Halloween and then on to the fun holidays! Wow! Where has this year gone? Amazing to me.
I have started to do a bit of Christmas shopping as the babe is due Dec. 16th unless she comes three weeks early like Jax. Then I will have a Turkey baby. I will be in no mood to be out and about shopping. Jax wants the same thing as last year as we have started a list so it will be easy.
Three people from work have given me a total of 10 boxes full of baby clothes and I have a swing, car seat, bottles, etc.. that is on the way. It's all so weird to think I am having another child. It hasn't hit me yet. I guess it will hit reality when she is looking right at me! Oh and I am getting my tubes tied so some of you can have a sigh of relief. Ready. Let's S.I.G.H. Remember, humor is the laughter that keeps one sane! :)
I am really enjoying life right now. I LOVE!! to make Jax's lunch. I love to see what pictures and activities he has done during the day. Jax is busy with writing his name more clearly. Like me he is left handed but I was made to write with my right hand because Mrs Tyson slapped my hand with a ruler every time I used my left hand. So, I have let Jax decide what hand he wants to use. So far, he uses both hands for different things. Just like me. So, his left hand seems to be the best for him in writing but will cut back and forth between his hands with scissors and only use the mouse with his right hand. Crazy but it's how it is. His teacher just lets him go with the flow and i love her for that. Let him be him. That is who he is. Oh and M&M's are a great bribe to get one's homework done. Hmmm... let's see... a 5 minute time out or M&M's?
