Swimming after the Motorcycle event &

We headed over to Mrs. Ava's to swim and enjoy the afternoon while Ava's mom and dad went on a date. We had a great time. Jax loves to dress up in this red hat and coat that makes him so pimp daddish and Ava is always ready to marry Jax on a whim so we dressed them up. The funniest part was that Dane saw the kids dressing up and he came out with a bib, a skirt, a chicken mask and one high heel. Great fun!

Biker who wanted to take Mamma home! heheheheheh!!!

I had to take this picture on the down low so this biker, Matt, wouldn't see me taking his picture. He was all over me like white on rice, after I got done singing and he was ready to take me home. Big Mamma, pregnant, a 5 year old and all. He was a very nice biker but what would a skinny 'ole biker do with a big pregnant woman such as myself. He for sure couldn't handle me and I can see a iron cast skillet slamming up aganist his head when he started to give me some attitude. I guess I was flattered. It was so funny to me. And I have higher hopes then to be taken to a trailer in Johnston County where we can make sweet love!! No thanks! At least he was white!! bahahahahaha!!

Harley Davidson Fun!

I love motorcycles and was so excited to surprise Jax with going down the road to the Harley Davidson event they had. Jax was so excited and what a fun day we both had. Jax picked out some of his favorite motorcyles. We had hot dogs, popsicles and treats. Jax met some boys who ended up being the kids of players of the band and he had a great time dancing, playing trucks and cars and seeing all the sights. I had a great time. I started talking to one of the Mom's whose husband played in the band. I told her how I always wanted a band but was too chicken to do anyting about it. The next thing I know I hear my name from the band and I look up and Dave said "Come on stage, Kelly" I about died but I wasn't nervous. I had to tell Jax I was okay. You should have seen his look the whole time I was up there. I sang "Knockin on Heaven's Door", the southern rock version, and it was so much fun! I was in heaven and knew this is what I should be doing! forget artifical light and pushing papers! I should be a SUPERSTAR!. The leader of the band was really nice and said "Damn,Girl! You can sing!". Jax gave me a great big hug and said " I am so proud of you Mom". He was so excited for me and I was happy too. I should be a singer! :)About a half hour later, I hear my name again and 8 people requested I sing again. I was nervous then but I got up to do my part as a superstar and sang my favorite blues song called "My Baby's Gone". Thank goodness every one was drunk and thought I sounded great!!

Anyway, it was really a highlight for me and something I really needed. The past months have been hard and the last two weeks with worrying about sweet Graham and Jax going into school has been stressful and I needed something that I loved to do.

We finally left at 1:30 and Jax cried when we left and you know, I cried too. Hard to leave such a great high. To leave when there isn't a worry or care in the world. Happiness all around. Especially when I got three lovely hard looking biker men ready to take this big pregnant Mamma home on the back of their hog. Very flatered but I have enough drama going on as it is. I did love all three of the mens faces. All torn and battered. Deep lines creased in their face. For sure a story to tell with each line in their flesh. Just amazing, these biker people to me. Just love it!

The highlight of my day though was watching Jax. I am so proud of him. He is truly a lover of music. It's in his soul and you can see it. The band played all southern rock and blues and when the guitar would go into a solo he would close his eyes and he would move his head to whatever way the music moved him. You could see music flow thru him like it was life. Just amazing. So happy. One time when he opened his eyes, I SWEAR TO YOU!! he had tears in his eyes. I said "Oh buddy!, whats' wrong?" and he said "Nothing, the guitar is talking to me and it makes feel emotional". I was so proud and yet so excited and Jax is a true musician. He gets it! He understands music and what's it about and what it's supposed to do for you!! AWESOME!!!

A super(star) weekend

Jax woke me up at 6:30 saturday morning and though it was too early for me the sun was shining so we got up and went right to the farmers market. We haven't been this year and we LOVE to go. We also have never been to the farmers market resturant that is famous for their breakfast so we ate there. Jax got a fun Mickey Mouse pancake and we had a great time playing with the antique tractors and sleighs and other antiques. Jax said "Mom! these are so dirty and need to be painted". I just laughed and explained to him what antiques meant.

Here are some good pictures.

You gotta try this receipe from Pioneer Woman

http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/06/crash-hot-potatoes/

I wish I had NEVER found this receipe. I usually cut up my red potatoes in wedges, olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary but this is even better. I made a small pot and Jax ended up eating almost all of them and then when we woke up this a.m. Jax begged me for more of these to go along with his eggs and bacon. Oh! Mamma! So, another great, super easy, filling treat!!! I put homemade chilly over two of the potatoes for lunch and i could have slapped some one it was so good!! enjoy!!

I am still praying that Nell, PW's beloved dog, comes back. I can't imagine where she is. I dreamed last night she came flying up the back of the house and was barking saying she was home. Sure hope this comes true.

I became a rock star yesterday, twice, will write more with pics tomorrow. I am floating in heaven! I Had such a great time!

Happy Sunday,

kels~
