Jax

Jax is doing very well. It's so crazy to see him grow up and change so much from a little toddler to a kindergartner and now a boy. He is doing very well at school. He got all 3's on his report card which is most excellent. His writing skills are improving so much and he has really no speech impediment at all. Sorry for me, his cute lisp is gone and he speaks like every one else. He is growing like a weed and has HUGE feet, or so I think. He is now in size 151/2 boys shoes and eats like a horse.

Jax has made two really great friends, Kellen, in the top picture and Christian, in the lower picture. Both boys come at different times to my daycare. Christian goes to Jax's school and rides his bus so they come home together and play and unhappily do homework together :).

Jax has been begging me for a dog since Max left. I have been anti animal, other then the birds, for a while. I met a nice lady who had a 7 month old Yorkie Terrier. She is in grad school, has a new boyfriend and other commitments that allows her to not be there for her dog. We spent time together and I had to really think about do I get this free dog, or not? She is hypoallergenic and does not shed, etc.. etc.. which is what we need and I wanted a small dog. So, Mercedes is the newest addition to our family. I hate her name so I call her Sadie or Sis and she is very good. She sits and rolls over. She will flip in the air for the freezbie and she has settled right into our family. The other great part is she came with a ton of cute sweaters, her crate, and lots of other stuff. So, Jax is thrilled. Homework even sucks more as he has to get it done before playing with Sadie but it's a good motivator. His room has been so clean since we got her. Wonder how long that will last?

Sooo....I was hoping to take a nap with the kids but Ashton is sitting in his crib hitting his mobile and attempting to crawl out of it. I have lowered the crib to as low as it will go but he is a climber and ready to get out of it. So, I am quietly watching him and thought I would post new pictures.

You can see his bottom teeth really well. Last week he had a double ear infection but is happy now. He actually has a back tooth coming in and his two top front toofers are coming in and he is a constant, wet, drooling, mess. I don't know how many bibs I change a day! So cute! I am excited.

Ash is a very busy baby. Much more so then Jax ever was. Jax was laid back and calm where he is now wild and busy. Ash is definately on the go. He is now crawling and standing on anything he can. He says "Momma", "Uh-oh" and "Hi". I took him to the doctors for his flu shoot and check up and when the doctor walked in he smiled, he is ALWAYS smiling, and said "HI!", clear as can be. So cute.

He loves the park and this was his first swing experience. He belly laughed the whole time. Great fun for him. I love this age and time in his life. I am so glad I am able to experience it.
