One of my BEST FRIENDS!
Jax is into wearing hats. Poppie gave Jax a NC State hat since we are fans of NC State and I Love! Love! Love! that he wears hats. He looks so cute! Jax was showing me the different ways you can wear a hat and the faces you can make. Yes! he still wants to be a model and he wore that shirt like 3 days in a row! It's his favorite shirt now!

Christmas 2009
Christmas has come and gone and I am way sad that the holidays are over. I had a really great holiday with my boys. I was only to have Thursday-Sunday off for Christmas but the sickness that has been going around the day care went to the rest of the kids or they were out of town so I only worked one day this past week so I actually got tons more time off which I really desperately needed. Ashton picked up a very bad cold with LOTS of snot, and high fevers of 103 and 104 and then after getting all that calmed down with three trips to the doctor for check ups, Ashton picked up pink eye and passed it to Jax and I, that calmed down and then we find our selves Christmas Eve morning at the doctor AGAIN! for Ashton had a double ear infection. I still don't understand why the good 'ole pink stuff, aka, Amoxicillian (sp)isn't something we can get over the counter. So, my having extra time off and mornings to sleep in were the best Christmas presents ever!
Our holiday was very low key. Jax couldn't wait for Santa to come and it was 1:00 a.m. until he finally settled down. I put the presents out soon after that and conked out.
We bought sugar cookies and milk for santa and sprinkled oatmeal in the yard and threw carrots every where so the reindeer would have snacks as well. I set my alarm for 6:00 a.m. and picked up LOTS of carrots (a mother's love) so Jax would think the reindeer ate some. Their are still a few in the yard.
The boys didn't get up until 9:46!!! Which cracked me up because Jax woke up between 5:00-6:00 a.m. the days following up to the big day!
Here is a picture of Ash just waking up. I love his hair! It's so wild and out of control! He was so happy and how can you NOT love this baby! He shrieks this "HI!" very enthusiastically every morning!

HI!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS MOM~

Santa left a note for Jax to go to the porch for his first gift as it was a rainy Christmas Eve night and didn't want his surprise present to get wet! Jax WAS surprised and really wanted a Lightning McQueen bike.

Our big family gift this year was to be a WII and I was able to layaway that with QVC so that was way exciting for me. I blogged before about Kmart losing all my layaway stuff and we are always in KMART and the manager saw me and thanked me again and gave me $75.00 voucher towards the PS2 so I only had to pay $25.00 for it. I refused several time because that was not necessary but we are very excited to have two great fun toys and we are addicts already! I love that the pawn shops here have PS2 games for $5 and every one is going for the PS3 stuff.

Ash caught on right away with opening presents and his happy soul laughed and giggled over the noise of the paper. He got a case of diapers, which I think he likes the most, a Fisher Price farm and a fun little wheel type toy that turns. So fun!

We are grateful for the fun Christmas we had and for all our friends who stopped by and for the surprise goodies we found on our doorstep and we had great fun making surprise goodie trips too. It's been a great year for us. We have had lots of love, great health, a home that is perfect for us and my work has been great in a suffering economy. Most of all the three of us have each other and that is all I could ask for.
