I stayed up way too late last Friday packing the van with coolers, beach stuff, toys, little red wagon to haul Ashton in as we walked to the beach from parking, etc.. I was going to surprise Jax once we woke up and I was so excited to go. I woke up Saturday morning and HAD NO DESIRE to go to the beach and haul this and that and walk in the sand, etc..
I have been majorly spoiled my whole life with having condos on the beach and camping just across the street from the beach. We could drive on the beach back then, which I so miss, as you didn't really need anything because you car was packed full of stuff and people.
Though I love going to the beach it's more of a chore, a chore that is worth it, as you have to haul everything there and back. So, we went to K-mart and bought a pool.
What a great investment and how happy I am that I bought it. The whole weekend we were outside in the water, bbqing, and eating lots of strawberry ice cream cones.
Both my boys love the water and joy was mine by sitting on the steps in the back yard doing nothing but watching ONLY MY kids and enjoying freedom!
Now if I could only afford a 20x 40 real swimming pool like I grew up with.
