~~This week has been a busy week. But I am glad it's Friday. That I only have one day care kid left and will be leaving soon and I am most excited about the possible snow tonight. Oh! What would I do with out snow?

~~I wanted to blog all week but life got crazy busy. We had another leak in our house. My water bill kept going up so the leak was finally traced 6 feet under the ground where a root had pulled the pipe slowly down with it. Quite an exciting two days for the kids to watch them dig a huge, deep, hole, place new pipe in and hooray it's fixed. Also! very funny when the plumber told us the water would be off for an hour EVERYONE of us had to pee! All in the head! My landlord couldn't talk when she left.... the horror of the bill...10 for $1.00 Ramen for her this month...sigh..

~~ School is back in swing and the first two days DEFIANCE was the theme but we have all come to terms that "school is back in session" and what the great benefits are and the consequences are as well.

~~ We kicked the week off with World Day of Peace which is Jan. 1st of every year. This is a catholic tradition and since we are learning about all religions this year I thought it was quite interesting. We talked about religious freedom and then we talked about different peace in the world. We wrote on a pieces of paper what kind of peace we wanted, where we wanted it and other things and then put it in our time capsule we are going to bury at the end of this month. For example, I want world peace but I want not just peace from the war but from abuse, domestic violence, etc... Jax wrote he wanted peace with kids in school and that every one get along. Very sweet. He has experienced enough bullies to last a life time.

~~ January is also National Soup Month! Betcha ya didn't know that. One of our favorite soups is Bear Creek Country Kitchens. We LOVE the Cheddar Broccoli so tonight we had a crock pot of that and I made corn bread muffins. A perfect dinner to the end of a week and a chilly day.
**Earlier in the week we made Taco Soup and had some yummy Mexican cheese wraps.

****What is your favorite soup?******

~~Of course, we worked on our usual Math and English. Jax's reading is really improving and he loves to read from the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I feel it's a tad bit mature for him but in some ways it's good if he goes back to school.

~~We have bought every thing we need for the pillow cases and now I have to make a few more and then we will pass them out. I will for sure take pictures so you can see them.

~~The sticky note trick worked. I went from having a good amount of sticky notes on my door to NONE!! and every one sleeps in their own bed and all through the night...bliss!

~~Operation Food Drop to our neighbors was quite fun. Gosh! we were loud but the kids managed to be somewhat still as I carried bags and a box of stuff to their front steps. We rang the door bell and ran like hell. It was so fun. Of course, Jax wanted to ring all the door bells in the neighborhood and run but I told him only if we leave nice things. So, I hope the neighbors are happy and Jax swears that he will not tell the neighbors by mistake that we did that.

Off to bed for now. Must rest up for a day of skiing if we get snow..ha!ha! snort!
