My beautiful beast... the van.. is broken down... I am so sad. Don't even want to talk about that one. I love it. And I know I will not have a van again for a long time, if ever, because they are so expensive, so the last two years have been great with her. Every day I have had a car I have been extremely grateful to have one.
We rented a car for the day so we could grocery shop, run errands and drop off the pillow cases. I was so focused on getting to the rental shop on time I forgot the camera....ugh... but we had a good time. Jax learned more life lessons. He begged me to rent the Hummer..yeah, right. and then begged me to rent this huge truck with big tires but instead we got a compact car for $36.00 a day. I know.. I'm no fun.
By the over pass, yes, it's safe, we found three homeless men and we gave them the pillow cases. They were very grateful and thankful and one had a dog so we gave him extra dog food, a stuffed animal, extra wash clothes and some bottled water. I wish I could go back and see if they still have the pillow cases but it's all in the universe. I have seen these men before and they are friendly but I don't know their mental state. We stayed in the car the whole time. In case your worried.
We went to several car dealerships and Jax was in heaven when he walked into Crossroads Ford and there were several rows of trucks. He wanted every one of them. The men were very fun with him and had him pretend he was filling out paperwork and checking credit, etc..Jax understands how much up to $1,000 is. We carry monopoly money around so when he wants to buy something we get the money out so he can visually see how much it is. When he saw that ALL his monopoly money would be gone and he would need even more to buy a car he has decided we are walking or taking the bus :)
Yesterday Ava, Dane, Iris and Mrs. Jessica came to say goodbye. Ava and Jax have grown up together and have been best friends forever! Ava's Dad got a job in Henderson, Nevada and they leave Wednesday. It was a very tearful good bye and Jax wouldn't get in to the picture. He held up good until Ava drove away and then he just broke down. What a tender heart. How do you make some one feel better when their best friend leaves? Jax went outside to his man fort and stayed for a while. I checked on him and he said he just really needed to be alone so after several hours my little bird with a hurt heart emerged and after we hugged and we cried a little more we were able to turn our minds on planting some bulbs and then it got easier through out the day.
Ava with her brother Dane. We couldn't get Jax in the picture. He was so upset.

Why is parting such sweet sorrow?
